GETTING HERE
Vashon is an island – so you’ll need to get a ferry!
Ferries run from Fauntleroy, West Seattle (a 15 min. ride) to the north end of Vashon Island and from Point Defiance, Tacoma area (a 10 min. ferry ride) to the south end of the Island (Tahlequah).
Summertime is especially busy, so if you’re driving on, please leave yourself plenty of time to get a ferry ticket and in line.
For those who walk-on, the metro bus runs often from the North end ferry dock to town (times as follows). When the bus isn’t running, there is King County van/shuttle service with limited space available (times as follows) which can be reserved by downloading the app here
Unfortunately, the vans will not pick up at the south end ferry terminal, but there is limited bus service each day. The schedule is here

About Vashon Island
A Jewel of the Pacific Northwest
Nestled in the “Heart of the Puget Sound” with views of water or mountains, Vashon-Maury is truly an Island. It can only be reached by a short yet beautiful 15 minute ferry ride. There is something magical about being on an island.
The pace is slower, the attitudes are relaxed and friendly, and our patchwork of small farms, forests and natural settings make it a unique Northwest destination. The Conscious Cartoons crew welcomes you.
